In November I purchased a LED face mask device, from a store in Australia called Mecca. This type of gadget is extremely popular in the beauty world and is gaining more and more attention in Australia. There has been a lot of research about the benefits of using LED light treatment to improve your skin. Usually, you would have to go to a clinic every 6-8 weeks which each session is very expensive, so it is amazing that this sort of treatment is now accessible to everybody from their own home, by using LED masks such as mine.
The one I own has 3 settings. The first setting is RED LED light, and this is to help the skin with anti-aging. The second setting is BLUE LED light - this is for anti-bacterial, so it helps with acne and pimples, and the third setting is to use both RED light and BLUE light together. The creator of this product, Dr Dennis Gross, insists you only need 3 minutes of treatment for each day! So, it is very easy to use and doesn’t take much time in your day.
I purchased the mask, because I am concerned about pimples and acne, and I did a lot of research about the benefits of BLUE LED light treatment therapy to help improve acne by reducing bacteria in the skin. Through my research, I also found out this product has an enormous amount of positive reviews online from thousands of people who absolutely love it! Therefore, I was highly persuaded to purchase it, even though it costs hundreds of dollars.
Initially when I purchased it, I used it religiously! Almost every single day. It gave me wonderful, great results and really helped my skin. I really loved it! However, in April I saw a dermatologist about my skin, and she has given me medication for my skin. Unfortunately, one of the side effects of the medication is that it makes my skin very sensitive to the sun and light, and therefore, my skin is way too sensitive to be using the mask. So, while I am on this medication, which is for about a year, I cannot use my beloved mask that I love so much. But, I can’t wait until a year has passed, and then I will incorporate my amazing LED treatment back into my daily routine!
